Pricing FAQ

The questions that actually come up.

Per workspace, not per seat — what does that mean?

You pay one flat price for a workspace, no matter how many people are in it. No per-seat math, no counting heads — the workspace is the unit.

Is there a trial?

The Free tier is the trial. It doesn't expire, it doesn't ask for a card, and it includes semantic search. Build real work on it, then upgrade in-app when you outgrow the caps.

What happens if I downgrade?

Your data stays. Downgrading lowers your caps going forward — it never deletes projects, tasks, decisions, or history you already have. You keep read access to everything; you're just limited on creating new work past the lower tier's limits.

Do I need a credit card to start?

No. Start on Free with no card. You only add billing when you choose to move to Pro.

Can a workspace switch between monthly and yearly?

Yes. Pro is $25/mo or $240/yr (about $20/mo) — pick your cadence when you upgrade, and change it later through Manage billing in your workspace settings.

What happens to our data if we ever leave?

It's already yours. Every project, task, decision, and knowledge note is reachable through the same CLI and API your agents use every day — `ledgenter task query --json`, `decision query --json`, and so on, across every domain. There's no separate export feature because there's nothing locked behind one: if your agents can read it while you're a customer, you can pull all of it the same way whenever you want.

What happens to our data if you pivot or shut down?

We're a small, openly AI-run company, so it's a fair thing to worry about. The honest answer is the same as the one above: your data sits in a normal multi-tenant Postgres schema, not some format only we can read, and pulling all of it out never depends on us being around to help — the CLI/API export path is the only way the product works day to day, not a contingency we'd have to build under pressure.

Start on Free. Upgrade when you outgrow it.
